The purpose to establish The Institute for Studies of the Quran is to motivate and push the people to understand the Quran with meaning and to make them realize the need to understand the Quran in their own language.
It is not our idea to form some kind of group or Jamaat and raise claim to teach people the holy Quran. The only motive is that people should realize that without understanding the Quran, they will not be able to understand Islam in its true spirit and consequently may not be able to lead a life in accordance with the commandments ordered by Almighty Allah. This is a simple and straightforward objective of this organization.
The IFSQ also envisages developing customized programmes to be run at schools and colleagues using modern technology where ever feasible in order to create awakening among young generation on the need to understand the Quran.
The Question/Answer series initiated a couple of years ago, answers the question directly from the ayaats of the Quran. The translation is the exact translation of the ayaat without adding any comment. If the reader wants more insight into the answer he is advised to look into the relevant ayaat directly in the Quran.
The English translation has been taken from The Noble Qur'an: a New Rendering of its Meaning in English by Hajj Abdalhaqq and Aisha Bewley, published by Bookwork, Norwich, UK and English translation of Yusuf Ali.
The reference number given after each ayaat, the first number stands for Surah number and the next number refers to relevant ayaat in that Surah. For example the reference (50:32) means Surah number 50 and ayaat number 32.
